Before you start or stop any medicine, it is always best to speak with the doctor who is caring for you while you are pregnant. Pain Medication

Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Extra Strength Tylenol

DO NOT USE: Aspirin, Motrin, Advil (Ibuprofen), Aleve (unless specified by your healthcare provider)

Nausea

Try small frequent meals. Ginger Ale, Vitamin B6, Sea Bands, Unisom, Ginger, Preggie Pops

Anthistamines

Zyrtec, Claritin, Benadryl, Dimetapp

Heartburn, Indigestion, Gas

Tums, Pepcid, Zantac, Prilosec, Prevacid, Maalge, Mylanta, Gaviscon

Decongestants

Sudafed (pseudoephedrine), Robitussin CF, Tylenol Cold and Sinus, Dimetapp

Cough/Colds

Robitussin (cough), Sudafed, Delsym, Mucinex D/DM, Benadryl, Driston, Cough Drops, Robitussin DM

Insomnia

Benadryl (for occasional use only)

Yeast Infections

Hydrocortisone Ointment, Preparation H, Tucks, Witch Hazel

Toothache

Extra Strength Tylenol

Diarrhea

Imodium AD, Probiotics, Sports Drinks to replace electrolytes, Diet (banana, rice, applesauce, toast)

Constipation

Increase fluid intake, Colace, Metamucil, Miralax, Citrucel, Fibercon, Milk of Magnesia, Senokot
